The journey begins with traveling from Kathmandu to Besishar by Micro bus and also Jagat by jeep in a day. One walks through beautiful countryside along Marsyangdhi valley following Annapurna Circuit trail to reach out at Koto. We leave the busy trail at Koto and heading to North for Nar Phu valley trek in the off the beaten path. Nar Phu valley has unique culture, Tashi Lakhang monastery, remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forest of Rhododendron, oaks, pine and juniper, Yaks and amazing views of Annapurans. It was visited on first by Timan in the 1950s. Then, it was closed for foreigners until 2002. This hiking destination is still new for foreigners even though it is a week trek from out of main trail of Annapurna Circuit.

After visited Phu and Nar distance villages beyond the Himalaya, we go for first adventurous Kang La 5306m high pass that connects Nar Phu to Manang valley at Annapurna Circuit again.

The grand Yartung festival held in Manang around middle of July each year. The horse racing festival Yartung is celebrated in Manang village for centuries. The custom of Tibetan origin is the exciting exhibition of the horses strength and riders abilities and also authentic expression of the ancient culture of High Himalayas.

July/August is very good time to visit Manang. The landscape is lush green and flowers are in blossom. The valley is in the rain shadow of Annapurna. So, the raining is quite rare and when it happen, it’s quite mild and short. While the views of the mountains are not as clear as in autumn, there is good chance to see majestic peaks of Annapurna massif at the morning and during the clear days. The temperatures in Manang are quite comfortable even in the night time.

We make a day hiking to Ice Lakes with wonderful views of Manang village and Annapurna massif reaching the beautiful mountain Lakes in the elevation at 4600 meters.

We go to Tilicho Lake after Manang vicinity round covering Braga gomba, Karki gomba, Pocho gomba, Milarepa cave and Gangapurna Lake. For Tilicho Lake, July/August is actually considered as the best time.

We are heading for second adventurous Mestokanto La 5121m pass after explore the world’s highest; Tilicho Lake. This high pass connects Manang and Jomsom at Mustang district. It requires two nights of camping in the wilderness of Annapurna region.

Then, all this fun ends with catching fly or drive out to Pokhara from Jomsom. Relax in Pokhara couple of days after adventurous two high passes trek in Annapurna region. Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus or flight.

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 2 : Trek briefing, preparation and visit Budhanath Stupa in the afternoon.
Day 3 : Kathmandu to Besishar by public bus and to Jagat by jeep.
Day 4 : Trek to Dharapani 1900m/6hrs.
Day 5 : To Koto 2600m/6hrs.
Day 6 : To Dharmasala 3230m/7hrs.
Day 7 : To Kyang 3820m/6hrs.
Day 8 : To Phu Gaon 4080m/4hrs and retrun to Kyang 3hrs.
Day 9 : To Nar Phedi (monastry campsite) 3300m/6hrs.
Day 10 : To Nar Gaon 4110m/3hrs.
Day 11 : Rest day.
Day 12 : To Kang La Phedi 4600m/3hrs.
Day 13 : To Nawal 3660m/7-8hrs via Kang La 5306m pass.
Day 14 : To Manang 3540m/4hrs (Visit Braga monastery on the way).
Day 15 : To Visit Ice Lake and Manang village.
Day 16 : A day hiking to Ice Lake 4600m.
Day 17 : Visit Melarepa Cave and Monasteries.
Day 18 : To Khangsar 3734m/3-4hrs.
Day 19 : To Tilicho Base Camp 4150m/4-5hrs.
Day 20 : To Tilicho Lakeside 4919m/4hrs.
Day 21 : To Dharmasala 4320m/7-8hrs via Mesokanto La 5121m high pass.
Day 22 : To Jomsom 2740m/7-8hrs.
Day 23 : To Pokhara by flight or drive.
Day 24 : A day relaxing in Pokhara.
Day 25 : To Kathmandu by tourist bus 6hrs.
