Guerrilla Trek – 15 days
Guerrilla Trek is a newly open trekking route in Nepal. You come cross so many picturesque villages with diverse cultures. And also, it has simply breathtaking natural scenery while on trek. If you want less tourists trekking area in Nepal, it is the one through a unique route.
All over the World’s people know that Nepal had the conflict from 1996 to 2006. There died about 16000 people in the 10 years civil war, before 2006 peace deal and elections won by Maoists in 2008. You may afraid what the name might suggest, but the area is very peaceful now a day. Nepal Maoist leader “Prachanda” has launched ‘Guerrilla Trail’ and guide book on 3rd of October 2012, giving hikers the chance to see route and hideouts used by the guerrillas.
The ‘Guerrilla Trek’ is starting from Beni in Myagdi district, towards Rolpa and Rukum in central and further West of Nepal. The trekking route passes through the country’s only one hunting reserve in Dhorpatan National Park. The Jaljale view point at 3386m is the alternative of Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna region that offers very close panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (I 8167m, II, III, IV, V, VI and Gurja Himal 7193m. The trekking trail is colorful of the Rhododendrons blooming every spring (March/April/May) season.
