Guerrilla Trek – 15 days

Guerrilla Trek is a newly open trekking route in Nepal. You come cross so many picturesque villages with diverse cultures. And also, it has simply breathtaking natural scenery while on trek. If you want less tourists trekking area in Nepal, it is the one through a unique route.

All over the World’s people know that Nepal had the conflict from 1996 to 2006. There died about 16000 people in the 10 years civil war, before 2006 peace deal and elections won by Maoists in 2008. You may afraid what the name might suggest, but the area is very peaceful now a day. Nepal Maoist leader “Prachanda” has launched ‘Guerrilla Trail’ and guide book on 3rd of October 2012, giving hikers the chance to see route and hideouts used by the guerrillas.

The ‘Guerrilla Trek’ is starting from Beni in Myagdi district, towards Rolpa and Rukum in central and further West of Nepal. The trekking route passes through the country’s only one hunting reserve in Dhorpatan National Park. The Jaljale view point at 3386m is the alternative of Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna region that offers very close panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (I 8167m, II, III, IV, V, VI and Gurja Himal 7193m. The trekking trail is colorful of the Rhododendrons blooming every spring (March/April/May) season.

Itinerary of Guerrilla Trek:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Trek brefing, preparation and visit Sawayambunath (Monkey Temple) in the afternoon.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus 6hrs.
Day 4: Visit Pokhara in the morning and after lunch drive to Beni by public jeep.
Day 5: Drive to Darbang by public bus 3hrs and trek to Takam 1665m/2hrs.
Day 6: To Lamasung 2250m/6hrs.
Day 7: To Gurjaghat 3020m/7hrs via Jaljale 3386m pass.
Day 8: Dhorpatan 2860m/5hrs.
Day 9: To Niseldhor 2620m/5hrs.
Day 10: To Taka 2185m/7hrs.
Day 11: To Lukam 2095m/6hrs.
Day 12: To Rest day to see Shamanism.
Day 13: To Thawang 1975m/6hrs.
Day 14: Visit Thawang in the morning and to Ajambari Jana Commune after lunch.
Day 15: To Sukulbang 2110m/7hrs via Jaljale 3090m pass
Day 16: To Kathmandu by night bus 14-15hrs.
Note: Trek itinerary can be changed for interested side trips if needed.

2) Two nights accommodation (Standard single or twin bed room with breakfast) at 2* Hotel at Thamel (Tourist center)/Kathmandu. Note:- The accommodation in Kathmandu can arrange/book according to client choice Hotel type. The clients have to pay differences if needed.

4) Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) card.
5) Kathmandu to Pokhara tourist bus tickets for client, guide and porter.
6) Acommodation and meals in Pokhara for client, guide and porter.
7) Pokhara to Beni public jeep tickets for client, guide and porter.
8) Accommodation and meals in Beni for client, guide and porter.
9) Beni to Darbang public bus tickets for client, guide and porter.
10) Meals for client: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with tea or coffee during the trekking days.
11) Accommodation during the trekking days.
12) Nepali Staffs: An experience trek guide and porter (one porter/carrier for one or between two clients).
13) Three times meals and daily salary for guide and porter.
14) Insurance of guide and porter.
15) Sulichaur to Kathmandu public bus tickets for client, guide and porter.
Cost does not include :
1) Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu.
2) Personal trekking equipment of clients.
3) Snack, Juice, Coca, Fanta, Sprite, Beer, Whisky, Boil and Mineral water during the trekking days.
4) Personal Insurance of clients such as medical and emergency evacuation (helicopter rescue USD1000-12000) etc.
5) Expenses for personal nature: Hot showers, laundry, donations, museum entry fee, movie/film watching, postage, telephone calls and email/Internet etc.
6) Private jeep or horse renting.Note:- We can organize private jeep on client's request.
7) Tips for guide and porter.
8) Sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan etc. (City tour guide and transportation can arrange on request of clients).

Comfortable hiking shoes, sleeping bag and some other good trekking stuff require for Guerrilla Trek. We will be sent a detailed equipment list upon trip booking.
Note: We have sleeping bag and down jacket renting facilities without fixed deposit for our clients.
