Langtang Valley Trekking
Langtang valley trekking – A narrow valley located North of Kathmandu, is close to the border of Tibet. The trek starts from Kathmandu to Dhunche – Syafrubesi that takes around 5-6 hours (by public bus or private jeep) as Road is improved a lot from couple of years. You will get to see some of the most beautiful snow peaks of the Ganesh and Langtang ranges, and simple yet rich Tamang and Buddhist cultures.
Kyanjin Gomba – Tsergo Ri a day trek
Going further into the Langtang valley, you will reach Kyanjin Gompa. This is one of the most popular places to stay and here you will find fooding and lodging facilities. Trek to Langtang is considered to be one of the most exciting trekking experience in Nepal. Among all the places you can visit in Langtang village, the cheese factory near the Gomba is famous in its own way. The factory was started as a Swiss project in 1955.
You can do a day trek to Tsergo Ri, Kyanin Ri, Langtang Lirung Base Camp and Langsisa Kharka in Langtang valley trekking.
Tsego Ri is one of the best view points in this valley. 5-6 hours trek towards the west of Yala Kharka will reach you to the summit (4984 meters) that has beautiful pray flags all around.
Kyanjin Gomba – Langsisa Kharka, a day trek
From Kyangjin Gomba, if you head up then you will reach Langsisa. Here you can experience a walk in the main Langtang Glacier. The famous big red rock at Langsisa has a story associated with it. According to legend the rock got this reddish hue because once a holy man who lived outside the valley lost his Yak, which he found here. His yak dies here and so the name of the place is Langsisa (Lang means Yak ans Sisa means dies).
You will have an opportunity to see closely River, rocks, glaciers and jungle walk with watching white monkeys, wild animals, yaks and many birds during the Langtang Trek.
