No pudimos llegar. En 2015 nos pilló el terremoto, muy dura la experiencia. Pero en 2016 los astros y las montañas se alinearon y conseguimos nuestro objetivo. Tanto Norsang como su padre han hecho posible este sueño nuestro. GRACIAS TUCHICHE

We had a wonderful time in Nepal with Norsang Lama as a guide and Biren as a porter in the first week of November 2017. Initially we were supposed to go to Everest side and because of bad weather conditions we couldn't fly to Lukla. Since our timing was tight, he offered to do an alternative trek in the Annapurna : Mardi Himal. He organized everything in few hours and we were able to depart to Pokhara the day after. During all the trek, Norsang made sure that we had a room in all the tea house, adjusted the pace to ours, took care of us and shared his 20 years experience of the mountain and his knowledge of Nepal with us. We particularly appreciated that he adjusted the program on the spot. Since we could finish a bit earlier the Mardi Himal trek, he added additional stay and visit in Pokhara : we could enjoy the stunning panoramic view from the uphill Stupa! So if you want to have an amazing experience in the Nepal mountains, do not hesitate to contact Norsang.

We completed Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek with Norsing Lama of High Camp Trekking, January 2017. This was our first proper trek and from the reviews we decided that we would meet up with Norsang and discuss trekking ABC, in mid winter. He was overly helpful from the get go. As we both live in Vietnam we didn't own any proper trekking equipment and essential items (apart from boots which we had previously warn in). He sat down and went through in great detail the daily itinerary and wrote us an extensive list of what we should purchase on the trek. He filled us with great confidence due to his depth of knowledge, fluent English ability and amazing personality. Follow his advice and buy every thing he suggests as we ended up using every thing on the list. The trek was 9 days in total and 2 days travel. We found parts of the trek challenging due to the weather (ice and snow) and steep up and downs, and the fact you would be trekking between 5-8 hours per day (we were slow trekkers). This hard work paid off. The landscapes, nature and scenery were phenomenal and words can't describe how beautiful and enormous the mountains were. The trek covered many different terrains including jungle, tea terraces, valleys and mountain passes. It was so beautiful and there is no way you can't love this trek. The tea houses are basic but offer a good variety of food. Most teahouses offered comfy enough beds and after a full day trekking we fell to sleep very early every night. Norsang was incredible the entire trek. He speaks in fluent English with a clear accent. He taught us so much about the mountains, local and national culture and politics as well as lots of very interesting information about the trek. Without his knowledge it would of been no where near as enjoyable. He does everything he can to make the trek as rewarding as possible. He is a very patient person and allowed us excessive breaks. By the end of the trek he has become a friend. I can't emphasise enough how amazing Norsang was at guiding us through the ABC trek. I wish him all the best for the future and hope that many more people get to experience what we did.

In Oct 2016, my wife and I engaged Samden (guide) and Ganga (porter) through High Camp Trekking for a 13 day Annapurna Circuit trek. Norsang from HCT Samden came to our hotel and were very thorough explaining what to expect, checking that we had adequate gear, how to stay healthy & fit for the trek. Norsang was helpful & responsive by email prior to our trip. Samden & Ganga took great care of us from when we commenced our journey by public bus from Kathmandu through to our farewell in Jomsom. Daily, Samden checked how we were, suggested good distances to walk, gave helpful caring useful advice. Samden knew the trek very well, giving a good overview & insights for each day, highlighting places along the way & always helpfully answering questions. They were always cheerful with a good sense of humour. Samden has a very caring nature. We were able to develop a good relationship with both Samden & Ganga and recommend them along with Norsang.

Our experience un Nepal has been incredible. We didn't have much time to do a long trekking and thought that may be a problem. We were so wrong. Norsang from High Camp Trekking managed to offer a very good short trekking (5 days) Gandrug CIrcuit. The landscapes were amazing and everything was scheduled, we didn't have to worry about anything. He provides excellent service and he is always caring for the well being of the clients. Very professional in his job and realiable person. When we come back,we will do a longer trekking with High Camp Trekking without a doubt. Flexibility and professionality are the simbols of the company and the people involved.

If you are looking for an experienced and trustworthy guide you are definitely right here! You don't have to look any further than Norsang and Sanjay and their company. My sister, a friend of mine and me absolutely loved our time and trek in Nepal! We did the 16 days Annapurna Circuit trek in April/ May 2016. Everything was super organized: airport pick up, trek schedule with day's worked in to acclimate to the high altitude, briefings, clean accommodations with cozy rooms (Sanjay (our guide) always gets the room with the best view for us) and delicious food (we were free to choose what we liked from the menus). The trek was just incredible. Challenging, especially the way to Tilicho Lake, but absolutely worth it! The nature scenery is just stunning, nature is still the best artist. We learned a lot about flora and fauna, the Nepalese culture and history and all the different kinds of Buddhism and ethnic groups. But beside all that it's Norsang, Sanjay, Milan & Rajendra (our porters) who really made this time memorable! They are amazing! All the funny evenings playing cards, their precious advice, engagement and enthusiasm, knowledgeable and so heartily, always helpful and taking care of us. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you guys! We will surely always remember! See you next time! I can't say enough good things about them. Without any hesitation I can highly recommend High Camp Trekking!

We absolutely loved our visit to Nepal. We visited in March to Early April 2016. We highly recommend High Camp Trekking. The route we chose was EBC (Everest Base Camp). Our guide was Sanjay Lama (Norsang's brother). For our family of 5 (with children 9, 13, and 15) we had 3 porters (Furi, Pasang, Jungbu) plus Sanjay our guide. Jungbu hiked with us and it worked out great to have an additional helper on all the hiking days. Sanjay and Norsang came to meet us the day before we flew to Lukla to talk about the trip and took us to get last minute items in Thamel. On the trek we stayed at good tea houses and always had good options for food at each location. We were a unique group in that we had children. We did not see many children on the trek, but we felt confident with our guide and the schedule they planned with days worked in to acclimate to the high altitude. We did experience some illness and some high altitude issue, but the flexibility of the schedule helped us and we were able to successfully make it to Everest Base Camp and back safely and within the time we had planned. We highly recommend you go with High Camp Trekking. I made inquiries with other companies and individuals and I feel very fortunate that we got great service and value for the money spent with High Camp Trekking.

Norsang Lama did another incredible job as our guide for my wife Melissa and me through the Upper Mustang area of Nepal. We are 59 and 60 years old. This is our second trip with Norsang (first time was Langtang). Norsang is a wonderful and very experienced guide. He knows the terrain, the trails and where to stay. He matches the pace of his guests and watches closely for any issues(there were none). We made a couple of changes to the route and he easily accomodated our requests. On top of all this, he is just a good guy. He is now not only our absolutely "go to" Nepali guide, he is our friend. We would never use anyone else. Never. End of story. Please contact me for more info or questions.

Richard, Alison and I did the Annapurna Sanctuary trek with High Camp Trekking in Sep/Oct 2015. We had an incredible time and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I had already received a few quotes from other companies when a friend of mine, Imogen, recommended Norsang to me. I contacted him about with our itinerary and he replied very quickly with a quote and some helpful suggestions for our plans. I originally asked for a 'guide only' quote to save on our budget, which Norsang provided. He also gave us a very reasonable quote for a package, including all our transport, food and accommodation once on the trek. I'm really glad he did, because that is what we did and it worked out brilliantly. The transport was hassle-free and comfortable (Sanjay, our guide, even escorted us from the hotel to our bus), Sanjay always chose the lodges with the best views, we were free to choose what we liked from the menus, and not having the stress of negotiating prices at the end of each day's trekking was a relief. Sanjay, Norsang's brother, was a great guide. A really nice guy who was able to tell us all about the villages we passed through. He somehow managed to anticipate all our needs before we had even thought of them! He ensured that we were really well looked after, happy and comfortable throughout the whole trek. After we had spent an extra couple of days in Pokhara, Sanjay even met us off the bus back in Kathmandu and escorted us to our hotel. Our two porters, Maila and Rajendra, also family members, were also really nice - and very strong! The trek itself was stunning. A beautiful contrast between the jungle paths and traditional Gurung villages and the towering snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range. The highlight was reaching the Annapurna Base Camp, alongside a huge glacier and being surrounded by incredible peaks all around. A truly unforgettable experience.
