Mera Peak 6470m Climbing Expedition

Mera Peak 6470m Climbing is for witness of unparalleled stunning panoramic views of the eight-thousanders including: Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and Kanchenjanga and also for super entry into the Himalaya. It is the tallest trekking peak and also technically easy climbing than others peaks in Nepal Himalaya.

Follow Safe acclimatization rules because you quickly push to Mera Peak ascending from Lukla (Airstrip). If you do not have prior experience of high altitude, we advise you make trip zig to Everest Base Camp and Zag to Mera Base Camp via Zatrwa La 4610m and Mera La 5415m high passes. We set up tent at High Camp 5800m, before taking on the final push for the Mera summit. You are crossing the Mera glacier and then, final ascent 30 meters of 60 degree of snow dome using fixed rope, jumar and carry an ice axe etc. It requires a good level of fitness on high altitude rather than technical climbing skills. Itinerary of Mera Peak climbing :
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Trek briefing, preparation and visit Sawayambunath (Money Temple) in the afternoon.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Lukla flight in the morning and rest in the afternoon for acclimatization.
Day 4: Trek to Chhutanga 3020m/4hrs.
Day 5: To Thuli Kharka 3900m/7-8hrs via Zatrwa La 4610m.
Day 6: To Kothe 4095m/6-7hrs.
Day 7: To Thangna 4350m/4hrs.
Day 8: Rest day/acclimatization day.
Day 9: To Khare 5045m/4hrs.
Day 10: To rest day/acclimatization day.
Day 11: To Mera Base Camp 5350m/3-4hrs via Mera La 5415m pass.
Day 12: To High Camp 5780m/3-4hrs.
Day 13: To summit and decent to Khare 9-10hrs
Day 14: To Kothe 4095m/4-5hrs
Day 15: To Tuli Kharka 3900m/4-5hrs.
Day 16: To Lukla 2840m/8-9hrs via Zatrwa La.
Day 17: To Kathmandu flight in the morning.

We offer Teahouse package and camping service organize for Mera Peak climbing expedition. Please inquiry for cost.
Cost includes :
1) International and Domestic Airport pick up and departure.
2) Two nights accommodation (Standard double or twin bed room with breakfast) at 2* Hotel at Thamel (Tourist center)/Kathmandu. Note:- The accommodation in Kathmandu can arrange/book according to client choice Hotel type. The clients have to pay differences if needed.
3) Mera Peak climbing permit fee.
4) Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu flight tickets for client and guide.
5) Teahouse meals for clients: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with tea or coffee during the trekking days. Meals can be selected from Menu and will have enough while on trekking.
6) Accommodation during the trekking days.
7) Food, fuel, kitchen equipment and tents for Mera Peak High Camp.
8) Snow bars and climbing ropes.
9) Nepali staffs: An experience trek/climbing guide, cook and necessary porter.
10) Three times meals and daily salary for guide, cook and porter.
11) Insurance of guide, cook and porter.
Cost does not include :
1) Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu.
2) Personal trekking and climbing equipment of clients.
3) Snack, Juice, Coca, Fanta, Sprite, Beer, Whisky, Boil and Mineral water during the trekking days.
4) Personal Insurance of clients such as medical, emergency evacuation (helicopter rescue USD10000-12000), flight and trek cancellation etc.
5) Expenses for personal nature: Hot showers, laundry, donations, museum entry fee, movie/film watching, postage, telephone calls and email/Internet etc.
6) Attach/private bath room during the trekking days. If the clients want attach bathroom where is possible, there have to pay differences between common and attach bathroom.
7) Tips for guide, cook and porter.
8) Sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan etc. (City tour guide and transportation can arrange on request of clients).

Trekking gears for Mera Peak climbing:
We supply Northface Tent with sleeping pad, kitchen equipments, food and fuel from Kathmandu.
Hiking/climbing boot, sleeping bag and some other good trekking stuffs require for Mera Peak climbing. We will be sent a detailed equipment list upon trip booking.
Note: We have sleeping bag and down jacket renting facilities without fixed deposit for our clients.
