Chheduk Man Lama

Namaste (Greetings)! To everyne.

I am Chheduk Man Lama, Owner/Chairman at High Camp Trekking. I was born in Kavre, Nepal in 1952. I have been working as a Sirdar/Guide since 1975. I worked for the popular commercial trekking companies from 1975 to 1999. I led trekking and mountaineering groups, Nepal treks and climbing expeditions to Mt. Kanchenjunga (8585m, the world’s highest peak) and to Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m, the world’s sixth highest peak), to Mt. Makalu (8463m, the world’s fifth highest peaks) and to a large number of popular trekking peaks – Island Peak, Mera, Labuche, Naya Khanga and Pisang Peak etc. I provided services to many clients and gain a lot of knowledge about trekking and mountaineering which is still helping to provide excellent services to clients.

In addition, I have traveled as a guiding person to peaks through India’s Ladhak, Kashmir, Darjeeling, Bhutan, Pakistan K-2 Base Camp and China/Tibet’s Everest Advance Base Camp (Northside), Lhasa, Xigatse, Mansarovar Lake, Mt. Kailash, Purang, Tirthapuri, and Kuka.

I visited the USA for three months in 1993 as a tourist.

I am working on my own Trekking Agency: High Camp Trekking with my three sons (Norsang, Sanjay and Samden) as our family business at the movement. I have many years of experience in adventure tourism fields which I want to share to clients and generation. I am still fit as a trekking guide as well. I wish our clients have an enjoyable fun and memorable trek and climbing in the Himalayas of Nepal with our guides. Thank very much!


Norsang Lama

I am Norsang Lama, owner/manager of the High Camp Trekking. I started Trekking jobs in 1998. My dad was a successful guide and I joined his team as a porter/carrier in the beginning. I worked as a porter for 3 years and been popular trekking destinations of Nepal. I got an opportunity to learn the name of mountains, villages, the geography of Nepal and the people of mountains thru my dad. I went to Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and have successfully completed the Trekking Guide course/training in 2001. Then, I worked as an assistant guide for my dad’s large group for two years. Then after, I worked as a professional guide and have successfully led to the clients all above 8000m mountains base camp and high passes trek in the Himalayas of Nepal. Before I started manager jobs at High Camp Trekking, I learned a vast knowledge about adventure tourism sector of Nepal which is making easy to supply information of any destinations of Nepal and organized trek cost as a perfect corresponding from an organizer. Sanjay Lama

Namaste (Greetings)! From Sanjay Lama.

I was born in 1977. I am the eldest son of Chheduk Man. I started trekking jobs in 1997. I also worked with my dad who was a successful guide when I come on these jobs. I went to Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and successfully completed the Trekking Guide course/training in 2001. So, I have the authority from a country for trekking guide jobs. I have been working as a guide since the establishment of the High Camp Trekking. I speak English and French and Basic First Aid training. I have successfully led groups in the popular trekking destinations and also off the beaten path – High Altitude treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. I did the super entry into the Himalayas by climbing Island Peak 6160m in 2002. I am always ready to go to the Himalayas with clients. I can help you make safe, enjoyable, memorable and the best trekking tour in the Himalayas of Nepal. “Come as a client and go as a friend with us!”


Samden Tamang (Lama)

I was born in 1985. I am the youngest son of Chheduk Man. I have been starting trekking jobs since 2005. I worked with my dad and two older brothers as a porter and then, an assistance guide in the beginning. I went to Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and successfully completed the Trekking Guide Course in 2011. So, I am a license holder trekking guide. I speak English and French and did Basic First Aid training. I have experience of not only popular treks but also off the beaten paths – high altitude treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. I do my best when you are hiking in the Himalayas of Nepal. Thank you very much!


Birendra Tamang

I am Birendra Tamang – cousin of Norsang, Sanjay and Samden Tamang. I did porter/carrier jobs more than 5 years at High Camp Trekking. I got a chance to learn about trek routes from Norsang, Sanjay and Samden Tamang. I completed Trekking guide training and ready to serve as a trek guide. You are all WELCOME to our beautiful Nepal.


Thiwang Tamang

I am Thiwang Tamang, working at High Camp Trekking now. I started trekking jobs in 2003. I did work with Norsang and Sanjay’s team when I was learning trekking. I went to Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and successfully completed the Trekking Guide Course in 2006. So, I am a license holder Trekking Guide. I successfully led groups to popular trekking destinations and also less visited trekking destinations such as Makalu Base Camp, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, and Nar Phu and so many others. It’s my pleasure to show you the Himalayas and culture of Nepal. I do my best to clients while on the trek. Thank you very much!


Ratna Man Tamang
