The ‘Khopra Ridge Trek’ is a newly opened teahouse trekking in the Annapurna region. It was camping style trek in the past years. This trek is located away from busy trials of Annapurna and few trekkers know about it. It is a classic trekking in Nepal including pastoral villages, paddy fields, jungles, wildlife, yaks and panoramic views of Himalaya etc. There is Khayer Lake at elevation 4660m, a sacred Lake at the foot of South Annapurna. It takes an extra day to hike to the Lake from Khopra Danda at teahouse. There go Shamans for graduation in the full moon August each year. There is superb views of South Annapurna, Bhahra Shikhar, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri from the Lake. It is a scenic trekking in the Annapurna region.

The ‘Khopra Trek’ begins with traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. the hiking route follows the same trail to Poon Hill in the beginning. The Khopra Ridge is on the North of Poon Hill that is walk downhill in the valley before get up to a Khopra Ridge (Danda). Then, there is walking on the Rhododendron forest ti join on the busy trail of Annapurna at Tatapani. Then, trek to Ghandrung village to Pothana/Australian Camp to Dhampus Phedi and drive to Pokhara by car. Back to Kathmandu by Tourist bus.

Itinerary of Khopra Ridge Trek:
Day 1: International Airport pick up in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Trek briefing, preparation and visit Sawayambunath (Money Temple) in the afternoon.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus 6hrs.
Day 4: To Nayapool 45km/1hrs by car and trek to Tikhedubga 1575m/3hrs.
Day 5: To Ghorepani 2850m/6hrs.
Day 6: To Poon Hill 3210m early in the morning to see panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. And decent to Ghorepani and trek Swanta 2214m/3hrs (good views of Mt. Dhaulagiri).
Day 7: To Khopra Danda 3660m/6hrs (panormic views of Annapurna South, Bhahra Shikhar, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, Ghurja Himal and Sunset etc).
Day 8: A day hiking to Khayer Lake (closed views of South Annapurna and Bhahra Shikhar and views of Dhaulagiri etc).
Day 9: To Dhobato 3420m/6hrs.
Day 10: To Ghandrung village 1960m/6hrs.
Day 11: To Australian Camp 2020m/6hrs (panoramic views of Annaapurna and Sunset views etc.
Day 12: To Dhampus Phedi 3hrs and to Pokhara by car (half and hour) and visit Pokhara in the afternoon.
Day 13: To Kathmandu by tourist bus.
Note:- Trek itinerary can be changed for interested side trips and an extra day for acclimatization if needed. Please feel free to discuss further more.

Cost includes :
1) Airport pick up and departure.
2) Two nights accommodation (Standard double or twin bed room with breakfast) at 2* Hotel at Thamel (Tourist center)/Kathmandu. Note:- The accommodation in Kathmandu can arrange/book according to client choice Hotel type. The clients have to pay differences if needed.
3) Annapurna Conservation trekking entry fees.
4) Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) card (Trekking permit).
5) Kathmandu to Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus.
6) Pokhara to Nayapool by Car.
7) Teahouse meals for client: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with tea or coffee during the trekking days. Meals can be selected from Menu and will have enough while on trekking.
8) Accommodation during the trekking days.
9) Nepali Staffs: An experience trek guide and necessary porter.
10) Three times meals and daily salary for guide and porter.
11) Dhampus Phedi to Pokhara by car.
11) Two nights accommodation in Pokhara.
12) Insurance of guide and porter.
Cost does not include :
1) Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu.
2) Personal trekking equipment of clients.
3) Snack, Juice, Coca, Fanta, Sprite, Beer, Whisky, Boil and Mineral water during the trekking days.
4) Personal Insurance of clients such as medical, emergency evacuation (helicopter rescue USD6000-8000), flight and trek cancellation etc.
5) Expenses for personal nature: Hot showers, laundry, donations, museum entry fee, movie/film watching, postage, telephone calls and email/Internet etc.
6) Attach bath room during the trekking days. If the clients want attach bathroom where is possible, there have to pay differences between common and attach bathroom.
7) Tips for guide and porter.
8) Sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan etc. (City tour guide and transportation can arrange on request of clients).
