I am Norsang Lama, owner, and manager of High Camp Trekking. I set foot in the trekking industry in 1998. My dad, Chheduk Man was a successful trekking guide and I joined his team as a porter/carrier in the beginning. I worked as a porter for 3 years, being part of large trekking groups in various popular trekking destinations of Nepal. During this time, with help from my dad, I got an opportunity to learn about different mountains and villages, the geography of Nepal, and the people of the mountains. I studied at the Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and successfully completed the Trekking Guide course and training in 2001. Then, I worked as an assistant guide for my dad’s large trekking group for two years. After that, I worked as a professional guide and successfully led my clients to all mountains above 8000m in Nepal as well as base camps and high passes in the Himalayas of Nepal. Through my experience and training in the trekking and mountaineering field, I achieved a lot of knowledge about the adventure tourism sector in Nepal, which helped me groom myself as a capable manager of a trekking company. I can supply information about any trekking destination in Nepal and organize treks as well as correspond with others to plan expeditions. On behalf of the High Camp Trekking team, I welcome you to High Camp Trekking. Thank you very much!
