Our Team

Chheduk Man Lama
- Chairman
Namaste (Greetings)! To everyone.

I am Chheduk Man Lama, the owner/chairman of High Camp Trekking. I have been working as a Sirdar/Guide since 1975. I worked for popular commercial trekking companies from 1975 to 1999. I led trekking and mountaineering groups, Nepal treks, and climbing expeditions to Mt. Kanchenjunga (8585m, the world’s highest peak) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m, the world’s sixth highest peak), to Mt. Makalu (8463m, the world’s fifth highest peaks) and a large number of famous trekking peaks – Island Peak, Mera, Labuche, Naya Khanga, and Pisang Peak, etc. I provided services to many clients and gained a lot of knowledge about trekking and mountaineering, which is still helping to provide excellent services to clients.

In addition, I have traveled as a guide to peaks in India’s Ladhak, Kashmir, Darjeeling, Bhutan, Pakistan K-2 Base Camp, and China/Tibet’s Everest Advance Base Camp (Northside), Lhasa, Xigatse, Mansarovar Lake, Mt. Kailash, Purang, Tirthapuri, and Kuka.

I visited the USA for three months in 1993 as a tourist.

I am working on my own Trekking Company, High Camp Trekking, with my three sons (Norsang, Sanjay, and Samden) as our family business at movement. I have many years of experience in adventure tourism, which I want to share with clients and generations. I wish our clients an enjoyable, fun, and memorable trek and climbing in the Himalayas of Nepal with our guides. Thank you very much!

Norsang Lama
- Manager
Namaste and Warm Greetings to everyone!

I am Norsang Lama, owner and manager of High Camp Trekking. I set foot in the trekking industry in 1998. My dad, Chheduk Man, was a successful trekking guide, and I initially joined his team as a porter/carrier. I worked as a porter for three years, being part of large trekking groups in various popular trekking destinations of Nepal. During this time, with help from my dad, I got an opportunity to learn about different mountains and villages, the geography of Nepal, and the people of the mountains. I studied at the Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management and completed the Trekking Guide course and training in 2001. Then, I worked as an assistant guide for my dad’s sizeable trekking group for two years. After that, I worked as a professional trekking guide and successfully led my clients to all eight thousand mountain base camps and high passes in the Himalayas of Nepal. I successfully led the customers to the summit of Mt. Everest (8848.86m), Manaslu (8163m), Ama Dablam (6812m), Mera Peak (6470m), Island Peak (6165m), Lobuche East Peak (6119m), Pisang Peak (6091m), and Thorung Ri (6144m) in the past years. Through my experience and training in the trekking and mountaineering field, I learned much about the adventure tourism sector in Nepal, which helped me groom myself as a capable manager of a trekking company. I can supply information about any trekking destination in Nepal, organize treks and mountaineering expeditions, and correspond with potential customers to plan trips. On behalf of the High Camp Trekking team, I welcome all of you to High Camp Trekking. Thank you very much!
