Amazing Norsang was at guiding us through the ABC trek.

We completed Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek with Norsing Lama of High Camp Trekking, January 2017. This was our first proper trek and from the reviews we decided that we would meet up with Norsang and discuss trekking ABC, in mid winter. He was overly helpful from the get go. As we both live in Vietnam we didn’t own any proper trekking equipment and essential items (apart from boots which we had previously warn in). He sat down and went through in great detail the daily itinerary and wrote us an extensive list of what we should purchase on the trek. He filled us with great confidence due to his depth of knowledge, fluent English ability and amazing personality. Follow his advice and buy every thing he suggests as we ended up using every thing on the list. The trek was 9 days in total and 2 days travel. We found parts of the trek challenging due to the weather (ice and snow) and steep up downs, and the fact you would be trekking between 5-8 hours per day (we were slow trekkers). This hard work paid off. The landscapes, nature and scenery were phenomenal and words can’t describe how beautiful and enormous the mountains were. The trek covered many different terrains including jungle, tea terraces, valleys and mountain passes. It was so beautiful and there is no way you can’t love this trek. The tea houses are basic but offer a good variety of food. Most teahouses offered comfy enough beds and after a full day trekking we fell to sleep very early every night. Norsang was incredible the entire trek. He speaks in fluent English with a clear accent. He taught us so much about the mountains, local and national culture and politics as well as lots of very interesting information about the trek. Without his knowledge it would of been no where near as enjoyable. He does everything he can to make trek as rewarding as possible. He is a very patient person and allowed us excessive breaks. By the end of the trek he has become a friend. I can’t emphasise enough how amazing Norsang was at guiding us through the ABC trek. I wish him all the best for the future and hope that many more people get to experience what we did.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Samden and Ganga Tamang

November 15, 2016

In Oct 2016, my wife and I engaged Samden (guide) and Ganga (porter) through High Camp Trekking for a 13 day Annapurna Circuit trek. Norsang from HCT and Samden came to our hotel and were very thorough explaining what to expect, checking that we had adequate gear, how to stay healthy & fit for the trek. Norsang was helpful & responsive by email prior to our trip. Samden & Ganga took great care of us from when we commenced our journey by public bus from Kathmandu through to our farewell in Jomsom. Daily, Samden checked how we were, suggested good distances to walk, gave helpful caring useful advice. Samden knew the trek very well, giving a good overview & insights for each day, highlighting places along the way & always helpfully answering questions. They were always cheerful with a good sense of humour. Samden has a very caring nature. We were able to develop a good relationship with both Samden & Ganga and recommend them along with Norsang.

Our experience un Nepal has been incredible. We didn’t have much time to do a long trekking and thought that may be a problem. We were so wrong. Norsang from High Camp Trekking managed to offer a very good short trekking (5 days) Gandrung Circuit in the end of September 2016. The landscapes were amazing and everything was scheduled, we didn’t have to worry about anything. He provides excellent service and he is always caring for the well being of the clients. Very professional in his job and reliable person. When we come back, we will do a longer trekking with High Camp Trekking without a doubt. Flexibility and professionalism are the symbols of the company and the people involved.

I highly recommend High Camp Trekking

If you are looking for an experienced and trustworthy guide you are definitely right here! You don’t have to look any further than Norsang and Sanjay and their company. My sister, a friend of mine and me absolutely loved our time and trek in Nepal! We did the 16 days Annapurna Circuit trek in April/May 2016. Everything was super organized: airport pick up, trek schedule with day’s worked in to acclimate to the high altitude, briefings, clean accommodations with cozy rooms (Sanjay (our guide) always gets the room with the best view for us). The trek was just incredible. Challenging, especially the way to Tilicho Lake, but absolutely worth it! The nature scenery is just stunning, nature is still the best artist. We learned a lot about flora and fauna, the Nepalese culture and history and all the different kinds of Buddhism and ethnic groups. But beside all that it’s Norsang, Sanjay, Milan & Rajendra (our porters) who really made this time memorable! They are amazing! All the funny evenings playing cards, their precious advice, engagement and enthusiasm, knowledgeable and so heartily, always helpful and taking care of us. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you guys! We will surely always remember! See you next time! I can’t say enough good things about them. Without any hesitation I can highly recommend High Camp Trekking!
