If you are looking for an experienced and trustworthy guide you are definitely right here! You don’t have to look any further than Norsang and Sanjay and their company. My sister, a friend of mine and me absolutely loved our time and trek in Nepal! We did the 16 days Annapurna Circuit trek in April/May 2016. Everything was super organized: airport pick up, trek schedule with day’s worked in to acclimate to the high altitude, briefings, clean accommodations with cozy rooms (Sanjay (our guide) always gets the room with the best view for us). The trek was just incredible. Challenging, especially the way to Tilicho Lake, but absolutely worth it! The nature scenery is just stunning, nature is still the best artist. We learned a lot about flora and fauna, the Nepalese culture and history and all the different kinds of Buddhism and ethnic groups. But beside all that it’s Norsang, Sanjay, Milan & Rajendra (our porters) who really made this time memorable! They are amazing! All the funny evenings playing cards, their precious advice, engagement and enthusiasm, knowledgeable and so heartily, always helpful and taking care of us. Nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely loved our visit to Nepal. We visited in March to Early April 2016. We highly recommend High Camp Trekking. The route we chose was EBC (Everest Base Camp). Our guide was Sanjay Lama (Norsang’s brother). For our family of 5 (with childern 9, 13, and 15) we had 3 porters (Furi, Pasang, Jungbu) plus Sanjay our guide. Jungbu hiked with us and it worked out great to have an additional helper on all the hiking days. Sanjay and Norsang came to meet us the day before we flew to Lukla to talk about the trip and took us to get last minute items in Thamel. On the trek we stayed at good tea houses and always had good opations for food at each location. We were a unique group in that we had children. We did not see many children on the trek, but we felt confident with our guide and the schedule they planned with days worked in to acclimate to the high altitude. We did experience some illness and some high altitude issue, but the flexibility of the schedule helped us and we were able to successfully make it to Everest Base Camp and back safely and within the time we had planned. We highly recommend you to with High Camp Trekking. I made inquiries with other companies and individuals and I feel very fortunate that we got great service and value for the money spent with High Camp Trekking .

Norsang Lama did another incredible job as our guide from my wife Melissa and me through the Upper Mustang area of Nepal. We are 59 and 60 years old. This is our second trip with Norsang (first time was Langtang). Norsang is a wonderful and very experienced guide. He knows the terrain, the trails and where to stay. He matches the pace of his guests and watches closely for any issues (there were none). We made a couple of changes to the route and he easily accommodated our requests. On top of all this, he is just a good guy. He is now not only our absolutely “go to ” Nepali guide, he is our friend. We would never use anyone else. Never. End of Story. Richard, Alison and I did the Annapurna Sanctuary trek with High Camp Trekking in Sep/Oct 2015. We had an incredible time and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I had already received a few quotes from other companies when a friend of mine, Imogen, recommended Norsang to me. I contacted him about with our itinerary and he replied very quickly with a quote and some helpful suggestions for our plans. I originally asked for a ‘guide only’ quote to save on our budget, which Norsang provided. He also gave us a very reasonable quote for a package, including all our transport, food and accommodation once on the trek. I am really glad he did, because that is what we did and it worked out brilliantly. The transport was hassle-free and comfortable (Sanjay, our guide, even escorted us from the hotel to our bus), Sanjay always chose the lodges with the best views, we were free to choose what we liked from the menus, and not having the stress of negotiating prices at the end of each day’s trekking was a relief. Sanjay, Norsang’s brother, was a great guide. A really nice guy who was able to tell us all about the villages we passed through. He somehow managed to anticipate all our needs before we had even thought of them! He ensured the we were really well looked after, happy and comfortable throughout the whole trek. After we had spent an extra couple of days in Pokhara, Sanjay even met us off the bus back in Kathmandu and escorted us to our hotel. Our two porters, Maila and Rajendra, alos family members, were also really nice – and very strong! The trek itself was stunning. A beautiful contrast between the jungle paths and traditional Gurung villages and the towering snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range. The highlight was reaching the Annapurna Base Camp, alongside a huge glacier and being surrounded by incredible peaks all around. A truly unforgettable experience.

Late February 2015, Annapurna Circuit if you are looking for a trustworthy, experienced and friendly guide who will put your interests first, then you need look no further than Norsang and his company. He is a very organized guide (and manager) who has a comprehensive knowledge of the area and can adapt quickly when things don’t go according to plan. I found Norsang online after scouring many forums trying to find an independent guide with great reviews. As I’m sure you’re aware, it’s often difficult to find outstanding service that is also affordable. Our decision to go with Norsang proved to be worth every cent. We wanted to visit Tilicho Lake as well as cross Thorong La Pass despite being on a tight schedule. While some other companies said that this wouldn’t be possible, Norsang was very understanding and explained to us that it would depend on the weather conditions during the trek. He provided a very clear itinerary that showed us exactly what was or wasn’t included and let us tweak it was much as we needed. When we arrived in Kathmandu, everything was pre-arranged and the trek went as planned. Unfortunately, half way to Thorung La pass, Norsang contacted the Tilicho base camp teahouse owner and informed us that not only was the teahouse closed, the path to Tilicho Lake was too icy to cross as a result of recent snowstorms, which meant our original itinerary would be cut down by 4 days. However, he quickly provided an alternative itinerary that fit into our time frame with no hassle. The next day started with heavy snowfalls that trapped everyone in Manang, where were staying. While many other trekkers ended up staying for the night, Norsang led us to the next destination as soon as the snowfalls become light enough to safely trek in , in order to keep on schedule. This proved to be a crucial decision because as soon as we crossed Thorung La pass 2 days later, heavy snow-storms swept the area, making the crossing impossible. It was our first ever trek as well as our first time tin Nepal and we learned a lot about Nepal’s culture, flora and funa from Norsang. Our porters Siam and Maila were also great and we all had a great time playing a Nepalese card game the taught us. Despite all our theoretical knowledge gained from our prior research, little did we know just how challenging it would be to do the circuit in winter, and i can say for sure that we would not have made it without Norsang’s services. I highly recommend High Camp Trekking to anyone who is thinking about trekking in Nepal and we will definitely use their services again next time we go back.
