Nothing but praise for the team from High Camp Trekking – Norsang and Samden. They planned every aspect of our 14-day walk to Mera Peak, ensuring we had a safe, enjoyable trip – no aspect was overlooked. We were really impressed by their dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to their clients – we had great food, good accommodation, an excellent acclimatization schedule, and a wonderful, caring guide in Samden.

At High Camp’s recommendation, we incorporated two acclimatization days (one in Thangnak and a second in Khare) into the schedule when we went on day hikes to build our fitness and ‘go high and sleep low’. The upshot of all this excellent support and planning was that we made the peak! 🙂

I did a one-month trek in the Everest region, including Renjo La and Cho La, attempted Lobuche East Peak (6090 meters), and did a three-week trek in the Manaslu region.

As I am a slow walker and a discovery and photo lover, this amount of time has permitted me to take my time and not feel rushed. It can be done much faster, of course.

The organization with Norsang, the agency owner, was fluent, clear, and well done. He was also supporting during forecast events!

As I am a female solo traveler, my big, big, big concern was feeling safe and comfortable with the guide I would be with, and, of course, mountain safety. Norsang sent me Ratna Man Tamang, a professional mountaineering and trekking guide with extensive experience, stories, and jokes. I feel safe, and in addition, I had a lot of fun, and I laughed a lot. We adjusted the program according to the weather and health concerns. I also always felt that the symptoms I think were taken seriously and not banalised, and as I know it is not like that with all guides, I am grateful. Ratna has extensive knowledge of mountains and mountain sickness, which is essential for safety.

We did the Manaslu Circuit Trek with High Camp Trekking, and it was unreal 🙌

Mostly due to Samden, Nima, and Ganga for guiding us safely through the trek, but also due to Norsang preparing us so so so well. Communication prior to booking, after booking, and during our arrival in Nepal was impeccable. In particular, we sincerely appreciated his advice and updating us on the local unrest that occurred the week before our trek began (Sept 2025). We felt safe, prepared, and still super excited thanks to all Norsang’s work!!

High Camp has thought of everything, meaning we seamlessly transitioned from airport to authentic hotel to the start of the hike, where their real expertise shone. Samden made sure we got to spots other groups didn’t make it to and made sure we were always there at the best times to avoid crowds and to get the best views. We felt super lucky to see what we saw over the trek, but Samden definitely had a hand in that!

The guesthouses Samden chose were always the best in town for authenticity, comfort, and most importantly, GOOD FOOD! But the boys also exceeded expectations by providing local snacks and delicacies, which we thoroughly enjoyed along with their company and many laughs over inside jokes and card games they taught us.

We would love to be back for another trek soon, but in the meantime will be recommending High Camp Trekking to anyone who will listen.

What an incredible trip! My Dad and I went with High Camp Trekking to complete a 22-day Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek, and it was truly amazing.

Great guiding, beautiful culture, amazing scenery. Everything ran so smoothly and was so easy.
