My name is Chheduk Man Lama, and I am the owner and managing director of High Camp Trekking. I have been working as a Sirdar (guide) since 1975. From 1975 to 1999, I worked with several well-known commercial trekking companies, leading groups on treks and mountaineering expeditions. I have successfully guided expeditions in Nepal, including climbs to Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 meters, the world’s third-highest peak), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters, the sixth-highest peak), and Mt. Makalu (8,463 meters, the fifth-highest peak). Additionally, I have led numerous expeditions to popular trekking peaks, including Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, Naya Kanga, and Pisang Peak.

Through my experiences, I have provided services to numerous clients and gained extensive knowledge of trekking and mountaineering, which enables me to offer exceptional services to our guests.

I have also traveled extensively as a guide to various peaks in India’s Ladakh, Kashmir, and Darjeeling, as well as Bhutan, Pakistan’s K-2 Base Camp, and China’s Everest Advance Base Camp (North Side), Lhasa, Xigatse, Mansarovar Lake, Mt. Kailash, Purang, Tirthapuri, and Kuka.

In 1993, I visited the USA as a tourist for three months.

I run High Camp Trekking, my own agency, alongside my three sons, Norsang, Sanjay, and Samden, as part of our family business. With extensive experience in adventure tourism, I am eager to share my knowledge with clients and future generations. I wish all our clients had enjoyable, fun, and memorable treks and climbing experiences in the Himalayas of Nepal with our guides. Thank you very much!
